Sarvani is a brilliant tattoo artist based in Seattle, Washington. She is an emblem of strength and individuality, ideals I want to display in my work. She has always been a muse.
A Liberated Woman
Growing up in India, I have often noticed how tabooed individuality and the freedom for women to express themselves, their aspirations, and desires are. With my subjects, I aim to reclaim this liberty of expression. I want my subjects to be expressive of their true desires, empowered in their own skin. Not always condoning to the binary (if they don't wish to).
An Empowered Woman
Empowerment is subjective. It is important to not project personalised ideas of it on others.
